The Alliance Française of Houston was pleased to host a Professional Development Workshop sponsored by the Cultural Services of the Embassy of France in collaboration with the university of Aix-Marseille in France and organized by the AATF (American Association of Teachers of French) this last Saturday, October, 28th, 2023.
The AATC is the only national association devoted exclusively to the needs of French teachers at all levels. Its community of French educators at all levels works to promote and defend French programs, create and disseminate useful materials for the classroom, and provide opportunities to recognize professional excellence and student achievement.
This Professional Development Workshop, delivered by Catherine David, lecturer and professor at the University of Aix-Marseille, aimed to introduce differentiation and variation methods to effectively address multi-level French classes. Catherine gave a lot of resources and strategies for French teachers and it was a great opportunities to connect and share experiences.
We thank Catherine David for this enriching learning experience, the French Consulate of Houston for sponsoring the workshop, Claire Frazier, president and Shelley, vice president of the AATF (American Association of Teachers of French) for organizing this great event and all the French teachers who attended.
A great event giving more strategies for building or improving a productive and positive learning environment for our French teachers in Houston !
