What a beautiful event we had to launch the new exhibition of French American street artist Sébastien Boileau alias Mr.D 1987 at the Alliance Francaise of Houston.
" Frenchies and Friends " exhibit is an homage to the trailblazers of cartooning, celebrating their timeless contributions to the world of creative expression and the vital importance of freedom of speech. Figures like Albert Underzo, Hergé, Morris, Cabu, Charb, Honoré, Walt Disney, Matt Groening, Chris Renaud and many more...
Over the years, Mr.D 1987 has exhibited in galleries and public spaces internationally, gaining recognition for his innovative approach and unique voice in contemporary art.
Last year he became a patron of the Alliance Francaise of Houston and we are proud to host his new exhibition.
Last night our goal was also to give an educational introduction to street art. We welcomed 10 students from St John’s School; they also study French, and they painted outside on our fence. Thank you to their teachers for making this possible. Thank you to our sponsors for their generous support.
We invite you to stop by and watch their work, both St John's School and Sébastien Boileau. Mr.D 1987
We truly appreciate Mr.D1987 hard work and dedication, and we can’t wait to see where our collaboration takes us next!
Frenchies & Friends exhibition runs through December 14. Come at the Alliance Française to discover it!
