What’s in store:

• Galette des Rois: Enjoy a slice of this delicious, buttery, and atypical frangipane cake. The lucky person who finds the figurine hidden inside will be crowned the King or Queen for the day! 🍰👑

• Children’s Activity: We’ve planned fun and creative activities for children, centered around the theme of Galette des Rois, so they can get hands-on and learn about this French tradition while crafting their own crowns and decorations.

• Drinks: Sip on a variety of beverages – both alcoholic and non-alcoholic – as you mingle and enjoy the atmosphere.

 

This event is made even sweeter with beautiful Galettes from Mademoiselle Louise, our amazing French local bakery partner. 🥖✨

What is the Epiphany ?​

In France, Epiphany (Épiphanie) is celebrated on January 6th, marking the visit of the Three Kings (Les Rois Mages), Melchior, Gaspar et Balthazar to the infant Jesus. The most popular tradition is the "Galette des Rois" (King's Cake), a puff pastry filled with almond cream, which is shared among family or friends. A small figurine (called a "fève") is hidden inside the cake, and the person who finds it is crowned king or queen for the day.
